She mentioned Jerrensia to us. My husband and I felt like God was calling us to check in on how we could adopt her or even help her with her surgeries. Amandas 2 brothers were also born with clubbed feet. They are 18 and 14 years old so we are very familiar with the process that goes on with this surgeries. We also have connection with the Shriners Hospital in Minnesota. We are currently involved with them for our younger boy and know that they would take he immediately r if she was a part of our family. We have connections with the Chief of staff who also spent some time in Haitti recently doing surgeries on children. It breaks my mother's heart to think of her coming to visit her regularly! Dixie, have you asked her if she would keep her if her legs were fixed? It didn't become noticeable until she was several months old. It was corrected with a series of casts. Over the course of a few months, her leg was straightened out without surgery. She's now 31 and has no further problems with her leg. Just an idea. If surgery can be avoided, I would think that would be a good thing. Please kiss Jerrensia for my family. She seems like such a sweet baby. I pray more than anything that someday God will allow us the opportunity to adopt from Haiti, even though I know the chances are slim since we have five biological children.
