Everyone has Spots!
After four weeks of just a case or two of chicken pox at a time as of
yesterday we finally got a outbreak and today it continues. Five kids alone broke out in spots between dinner and bedtime last night. Another six this morning between the time they woke up and lunch! It brings our current list of kids with active chicken pox to 21. And our total list of kids that have had them to 36. Most of them had had mild cases the blisters only last 2 or 3 days before they start to scab over.
And most have only had mild fevers, a few higher ones on their peak day.
Some of the older kids think they recall having had it already before they came to live at GLA, but only time will tell. We are thankful it hasn’t been worse. Please keep praying for the kids comfort as the pox run their course for each of them affecting them in different ways.
Those little darlings and how difficult it must be to have so many at the same time going through it. But nobody could handle it better than you and Joyce. You’re the best. Look after those angels. Hi to Joyce.
