Prayer Requests for God’s Littlest Angels – February 3, 2012
Thank you for engaging in an ongoing discussion with our Heavenly Father about the needs that our children at God’s Littlest Angels face. It means more than any of us will ever know, I expect, until we are sitting at the feet of our Heavenly Father and talking with Him there.
Here’s our prayer needs for this week:
- Pray for Frantina and all who care for her. I haven’t heard anything specific from Dixie regarding either her condition or her treatment plan for the last couple of days which means that they are still working on a plan and that she’s holding her own physically.
- Pray for our children who are waiting for families. Pray that they will experience love, acceptance and nurturing from our staff and that at the same time, God will be moving in the hearts of the “right” parents to raise them up and start the adoption process so that all of our children will have permanent homes where they can be loved and accepted.
- Pray for our children who have families waiting for them. Pray also for the families. Pray that God will give them an overwhelming sense of trust in God’s timing and also that the paperwork would “fly through” the process so bring them together soon.
- Pray that the ongoing construction at Ft. Jacques would continue without complications or injuries. Pray that the funding would come in to enable us to keep building as quickly as possible.
- Pray for protection from fatigue – we’ve said before that working in Haiti is a marathon, not a sprint. Pray that all of our staff would feel the energy and protection that only God can provide.
- Give thanks and praise to God that the initial diagnosis for Frantina of cancer has been replaced by a preliminary diagnosis of TB. Still very fragile and in need of care but a lot better than the “C” word would be.
- Give thanks for safety for our staff and volunteers. There have been many reminders lately of how fragile life can be and how unexpected Haiti can be. Thank God that He chose to protect our staff, volunteers and children during this past week.
- Give thanks that God has opened up a possible new lead on drill equipment that “might” be able to drill far enough down to establish a well at Ft. Jacques. Pray that God would open that door and bless not only us but also the community with a steady and consistent supply of clean water.
- Give thanks that more and more of God’s people all over the world are waking up to the need to do something on behalf of the children who have no one else.
On behalf of the kids,
Tom
P.S. We have a volunteer team going in on March 5 who can bring in the medical equipment we talked about on the blog. If anyone is going to GLA before that and has room in their luggage, e-mail me at tom@glahaiti.org. Thanks!
