Prayer Requests for God’s Littlest Angels in Haiti

Posted by TomVanderwell

Due to the strangeness of schedules over Christmas and the New Year and other things going on, the prayer request e-mails got a bit off track. We are now getting back on track and you’ll be back to getting these on Fridays starting with next week Friday (this one sort of covers two weeks).

So, without further ado, here’s the prayer requests that we have for this week:

  • Pray for Frantina – pray that she would get relief from the discomfort that she feels and that we’d be able to find the appropriate medical care that she needs. Quick update on finding the medical care – progress is being made in inches, not in feet.
  • Pray for the meeting of orphanage directors. Dixie had written at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/2011/12/adoption-news-3/ that the meeting was going to be today. I talked to Dixie this morning and she said that the meeting got postponed to 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. Pray that the cause of the children in Haiti will be advanced through the meeting and that God will be glorified and honored through all that is done and said.
  • Pray for Dixie’s friend Lori from Real Hope for Haiti. I don’t know any details but apparently she had surgery yesterday and is struggling after the surgery. Lori and her sister Licia do marvelous work in Cazale and many of our really sick and premature babies have come from there. Pray for comfort and a return to good health as soon as possible.
  • Pray for good health – as the new year kicks off, pray that all of the staff and children will be blessed with good health. Pray that any emotional effects from the quake and the anniversary will be minimal and be able to be dealt with smoothly.
  • Pray for all 110 of our children – that they would all soon have families and be able to experience the love and care of a family.
  • Pray that people will continue to be moved by generosity and support the needs of the children at God’s Littlest Angels.
It would not be a good prayer request update without also focusing on the good things that we should give thanks for:

  • Give thanks for a safe and wonderful Christmas season. Many of our foreign staff traveled home to spend time with family. Give thanks that all of their travel was done safely. Give thanks also for the wonderful Christmas that was celebrated with our kids at GLA. Read more of what Molly wrote about it at Happy Birthday Jesus!
  • Give thanks for the people who are willing to help – since Dixie brought Frantina’s case to everyone’s attention last week Frantina needs help, many people literally all over the world have stepped up to offer assistance.
  • Give thanks for the year end generosity of so many people.
Thank you for your prayers on behalf of God’s Littlest Angels. We greatly appreciate your support and partnership with us as we continue to care for the children in Haiti.
