Blog Changes – another update

Thank you all for your patience as we’ve been making some adjustments to the blog. We’re going to be continuing to make some adjustments to it and as we do, please know that we want your feedback.

A couple of thoughts about what we’ve done so far:

• Previously, all of what Dixie wrote could be found at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/andlifegoeson . Now, you can find what she writes at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/category/andlifegoeson/.
• All of what Molly wrote used to be found at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/kidzkorner . Now you can find what she writes at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/category/kidzkorner/.
• All of what Holli wrote used to be found at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/tattletalesfromgla. Now you can find what she writes at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/category/tattletales/.

The front page of the blog will have the last 8 articles that anyone has written on it.

If you look at the screen shot that is just below this, it’s basically the top of the blog.

Underneath the main title, there are a number of categories that are in blue. Each of those categories filters the information put on the blog in certain ways. Let me explain:

• And Life Goes On – Anything that Dixie writes will be there, no matter what it’s about.
• KidzKorner – Anything that Molly writes will be there.
• TattleTales – Anything that Holli writes
• Notes from the NICU – anything that is about our small babies and our nursery will be there. It doesn’t matter whether Dixie, Susan, Molly, Holli or I wrote it, if you want to find out about the babies, it will be there.
• Adoption News from GLA – anything relating to news about adoptions.
• Our kids – any stories about any of the GLA kids of any age.
• Ft. Jacques – any stories about Ft. Jacques and building at Ft. Jacques.

And then there are some categories that aren’t necessarily about GLA but could be of interest to some of our readers:

• Haiti news – exactly that – any news about things that are happening in Haiti could show up there.
• Adoption Resources – I think that’s self explanatory
• Orphan Care – any articles about caring for orphans – not necessarily adoption related
• Deep Thoughts – you know how some times I “like” to wrestle with the big questions? That’s where those would be.
• Resources for Adoptive Parents – I want to compile a lot more information that will help adoptive parents. This would be where that goes.
• Videos – pretty self explanatory.

On the left side of the blog, you should have a scrolling picture frame. There is a collection of about 850 pictures of a variety of GLA people, places, things and kids that I put up there. I’m hoping to do similar things on the bottom of the blog page too (but with different pictures). I hope that you’ll leave that page open on your computer and come back to it every now and then and check out the pictures.
