Opening Up the Doors to More Donors
Sounds like a good thing? Right? Yeah, it is.
But here’s the thing – to get the door to stay open, we need to “prove” to the organization that is providing the opportunity that we have a certain level of supporters. Let me try to explain as briefly as possible:
- http://www.globalgiving.org/ provides a charitable giving “structure” for many very large companies with literally hundreds of thousands of employees. That’s potentially hundreds of thousands of employees who can pick us to donate to.
- They screen the organizations that they put up as being eligible for support to make sure they are legitimate and worthwhile. We have passed all of that screening – with flying colors I may add.
If you “like” us on Facebook, you’ll know that I’ve been talking about this on there a good bit.
We’ve got 8 days left and we need your help.
Basically, here’s what we need.
We need 30 of our supporters to donate $100 each to God’s Littlest Angels through Global Giving.
or 300 of our supporters donating $10 each?
We set up a “project” on their site to show what we’re going to use the money for.
Clean Water for our kids.
Can you help us open the door to more donors who don’t know about GLA?
Can you help us by making a donation before January 1 to help provide the kids with clean water at GLA?
Go to http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/clean-water-for-110-haitian-orphans/ and read more about it. Then, using their platform, donate to GLA.
You’ll get the satisfaction of helping our kids drink clean water.
You’ll get a tax receipt before year end (assuming you qualify for one).
You’ll get to know that you helped us gain access to a larger group of donors.
On behalf of the children, thank you for supporting this project, thank you for supporting us, and may you have a Christmas that is blessed with the real joy and peace that Jesus gives.
Tom
