We are thankful…
Today my heart sings in thankfulness for a little boy who entered our lives and joined the GLA Toddler House family a little over a year ago. He turned nine today. In his few years here on earth he has had to live out harder things than most of us do in a lifetime. He has felt neglected, abused, abandoned, betrayed, forgotten, insecure, insufficient, unwanted, unsure, afraid. In this giant world he could have been lost, could have died in the earthquake a year ago along with many of his
friends and family, he could have turned hard and bitter, he could be full of anger and resentment, but he is not. He is our sweet boy. He is filled with compassion. He is truthful and honest.
He is loving and kind. He is timid and shy. He is full of laughter, and has a set of lungs that can belt out the loudest songs. He is a big brother, a best friend, a son. He is a delight. And without him our family could not be what it is. We are so thankful that God brought him through each of his trials, and into our arms. We celebrate this day with thankfulness for the birth nine years ago of Rilinxe.

Happy Birthday to Rilinxe! We pray for this little guy a lot at our home. He is in so many of the pictures with Kerby and looks like a wonderful friend. Looks like he had a super day. You can tell by the light in his eyes that he is a special boy !
