A celebration of Thanks… and a prayer in our hearts
As we celebrated thanksgiving this year, the kids pondered over what they were most thankful for. Across the board the response was family; mom, dad, grandpa,
aunt, brother, grandmother, uncle, the people that these kids were raised and nurtured by, who were their for them until they came to GLA. And though daily we celebrate in our hearts the joy of the new family that we make up here at the Toddler House and each individual little character that brings something we never knew we were missing but now could not imagine living without. Each day ticks by, making up weeks, months, and now almost two years that many of these caring, funny, hurting, joyful, scared, loving, strong, affectionate children have
sat in waiting for the
day a new family would take them home and their life can begin again. Though we try our hardest to provide a family setting, education, boundaries, nurture, stability, love, individual attention, we are not a true family, and we can never provide the kind
of belonging and love that a forever family can. Pray with me tonight for these little ones, that God’s perfect plan would unfold for them and the hearts of those who would be their new mom’s and dad’s would be awakened and filled with compassion to begin the adoption journey and embrace a child whom they did not know they were missing but will one day not be to imagine how live without.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Truly that is how God works….. You don’t even know you had a hole in your family or in your life until Jesus himself places that hole there and you know exactly who is suppose to fill it! Prayers that Jesus touches the hearts of the exact family that every single one of those precious children are suppose to be with !!! Prayers that those families hear, feel, listen to Jesus’ prompting! God has such plan for each of those children eating Thanksgiving dinner!!! Blessings.

I will agree with you in your prayer, Molly.
To welcome one of these little ones into our lives would be the ultimate gift from God.
That Bible verse is my life verse. I LOVE IT!!!

So many beautiful children waiting for families who will be blessed in so many ways by adopting a child. So, that when people say to you, “Your child is so lucky to have you, the families will respond, no, we are the ones who have been blessed!” This response from an adoptive mom, who says this over and over and over! May each of these beautiful children be blessed with a loving forever familiy.
