Hairless for Haiti – a couple of clarifications
Thanks for such an awesome response already about our Hairless for Haiti campaign. In talking with people over the weekend, I think there are a couple of things I ought to clarify:
- We are not asking or assuming that EVERYONE who wants to help us raise money for GLA will join the 12 of us and shave their heads. Nope, that’s not the goal. The goal is to encourage as many people as possible to make a difference for the children at GLA by helping us raise the funds to send kids to school and finish the toddler phase of Ft. Jacques. 12 of us are offering an added incentive to get people to do that by offering to go bald if we reach those goals. So, you can be involved in Hairless for Haiti even if you have no plans on shaving your head!
- If you want to “join” us in a “hair” adventure of your own, feel free to. I’ve already talked to a couple of people who have said things like:
- “I think I’m going to see if I can raise $_____ and if I do, I’ll get 10 inches cut off my hair.”
- “If I can get enough people to raise the funds, I’ll do _____ with my hair.
If you are planning on doing something like that, that’s awesome. The more people we can get involved, the more likely it is going to be that we achieve our goals.
More to come – any time you’ve got questions, please let me know.
Thanks!
