Four Hours, Four States, Three Countries and Facebook and a HUGE AMOUNT OF GOD PLANNING

How’s that for a blog post title? Let me explain a bit…..

Four hours – the time between when I first wrote the post about urgently needing medications for Sandia and Edna (the twins) and when we had commitments for both of the medications. That’s right, 4 hours.

Four states - there are people in four different states who are involved in a key component of getting these medications to where they need to be so that we can get them to GLA before the current supply runs out.

Three countries – Hats off to our friends and family from “North of the Border.” If you use a baseball analogy, they got a home run with at least two runners on base to win the game.

Facebook – It was so encouraging to put the post out there, send out the e-mail and then sit back and watch it show up again and again on Facebook as more and more people said, “Hey, look what these kids need – maybe one of my friends can help!”

Here’s the story:

• The medication that the twins need and only have 7 days worth of will begin traveling down to Haiti on Saturday so unless there’s a hurricane, it will be there in time.
• The medication that they have 11 days worth of will be traveling across the Midwest this weekend and flying in next week.

I could go on and on for probably a couple of additional hours telling you the stories of other people who have come from literally all over the world and want to help. Yes, all over the world is not an exaggeration.

There is one more thing that we could use help with. All of the costs in procuring the medications for Sandia and Edna have been covered with the exception of approximately $300. If you’d like to help with that, please send it to either:

The God Planning
Here’s the really cool thing about it all – of the two meds that they need, they had 7 days left of one and 11 days of the other.

Guess which one was accessible to the person heading to Haiti on Saturday?
Yep, the one that has 7 days left of it.

God had it all planned out, even down to the detail of which medication was where so that He made it work out and the need gets taken care of.

I’m sitting here writing this and I’m in awe. I’m in awe of the way God coordinates the details of the lives of little girls in Haiti. I’m in awe of the way so many people are following God’s call to step out and care for the orphans in Haiti.

God is good! All the Time!
