All the way from Japan
Please read about how a school in Japan has been moved to support God’s Littlest Angels…
Dear Dixie,
I am a teacher at St. Michael’s International School in Kobe, Japan. I
heard about your orphanage through a news broadcast shortly after the
earthquake. I immediately went to your website to learn more about God’s
Littlest Angels.
Every year our students raise money for a worthy charity. They raise the
money through setting up games and bake sales in the school and this takes
place for 2 days. They have fun raising the money from each other but we
also take the time to teach them about charity and children who are less
fortunate than themselves. We tell them that it is about being a "Good
Neighbour" even to people we don’t know personally.
This year we would like to be a "Good Neighbour" to God’s Littlest Angels
Orphanage. We appreciate your blog page because the students can feel like
they are in touch with the children they are trying to help and see how
their little acts of kindness can help others.
Thank you for your continuing devotion to these children.
Sincerely,
Karla Aljonaid – Year 6 class teacher and Good Neighbour coordinator

My roommate’s mom has been collecting money at her hair salon in Jakarta, Indonesia as well as spreading the word by handing out fliers with information about GLA. It’s so cool to see how helping Haiti is a world-wide effort!
