Don’t Forget Haiti……

Just as many of us who are older than 25 can remember the “We are the World” original song and fundraising effort, I hope that the new version will help people continue to remember Haiti and the long term rebuilding efforts that it’s going to take.

It’s not a 4 week rebuilding effort or a 6 month or even a 3 year rebuilding effort.   It’s an effort that is going to take many many years and an overwhelming trust in God.

So, as we end this weekend of prayer and fasting for Haiti, please join me in a couple of things:

  • Pray for the survivors in Haiti.   The untold emotional and physical trauma that they have experienced will be with them for a very long time.
  • Pray for the leadership of the Haitian government and those working in leadership roles in other organizations and governments that they would experience the peace, sense of cooperation and a glimpse of the vision that God has for the future of Haiti.

Oh, and do as I just did and spend the small amount that it takes to buy copies of the song and the video for yourself.   Send a message to the rest of the world that there are millions who won’t forget Haiti.

Giving thanks to God for His Faithfulness in times of terrible tragedy,
